03:20 pm Alright, folks!
This is the creative journal of dr_sipp
This journal likely will include the following:
-Teasers -Wordbuilding -Snippets -Sonic fanfiction (Mainly Knuckles and the Chaotix, my series. But also projects, such as An Author's Nightmare 4) -Original stuff -Other fanfiction -Pairings (Mainly straight, but some gay pairings, yes) -Gifts for other people -Maybe art (GASP) -Maybe RP snippets -Hamster
This journal will NOT include: -Porn -Sex -Pedophilia -Incest -novels (if I intend to publish something, and I intend to publish all of my novels, I will only post snippets. If you want to read the full thing, you can buy it :D Short originals I will probably end up posting though) -TURKS
90% of this journal is Friends Only. I will post updates and some teasers (mainly for fanfiction) as public entries.
I will post nearly everything under an LJ cut, also saying what is involved, the rating, any warnings, etc. So if you don't like something, you can skip it (Please do not throw a fit if I post something you don't like. Criticism is fine, but if you don't like a pairing or whatever, simply skip over the entry, thanks. I can't please everyone, nor do I intend to try. I have preferences, so does everyone else - I respect your preferences, respect mine)
My only other condition is that anything Friends Only does not leave the friends list without my expressed permission. You don't have to be my friend or whatever to friend/be friended by this journal, so even if you don't know me too well and want to read, or whatever, feel free. I don't bite. :]
I generally do not accept requests. (There are some exceptions, such as requests from close friends.) Suggestions, probably, but don't expect me to write it. It's very difficult to write something I'm not inspired to write. And I don't draw much anyway.
I think that's it. Welcome to Mouse Pad :3 Current Mood: creative Current Music: Soul Decision - Faded

01:52 pm It was hard not to stumble – he skidded, but did not fall. Just kept running. Ripper pounded down behind him. The fox did not look back, did not know how close he was. He just kept fleeing. There were many dark corridors and the boy paid no heed to them. He didn’t know his way around, but that didn’t matter to him. As long as he kept in motion, the Monster couldn’t get him.
–“Gut you like a fish~”–
The voice came unbidden, out of nowhere. A twisted, chilling laugh of pure joy (how anyone could feel such joy from murder was terrifying in itself) followed, and his heart tightened in his chest. Not here. Not now. He had tried so hard to move on, not to think about it – he couldn’t… he couldn’t… not here. Silver Sonic was gone, Silver Sonic was dead, Silver Sonic would never hurt anyone ever again.
He couldn’t help but remember–
–“None of my toys scream quite like you~”–
–A disturbingly familiar scene. The broken, bleeding bodies, scattered… like toys, Silver had said. Discarded, thrown to the ground, while the robot laughed and laughed and laughed…
–“But toys are made to be broken~”–
He had run then too, left all those people there with that Monster and ran to Sonic. Sonic, his saviour; who made everything better, who saved his parents, who fixed everything…
–“Are you running away? But we’re having so much fun~”–
But Sonic wasn’t here now, wasn’t anywhere near here. And this memory was the epitome of unwelcome; the voice and the screams and the mad laughter echoing inside his head.
He willed himself to not think, to keep running. The corridors were as dark as ever. The smell of blood was thick in the air but Ripper showed no signs of stopping, or even slowing. Even though some of that blood was his.
The kit could only hope to outlast him.
That wasn’t working so well, either. By this point his legs ached and he wished desperately he could lie down in his own bed. But he couldn’t.
So he had to keep running.
He stumbled, of course he did, his legs were tired and sore, and his arms worse – for there was a person held in said arms. He even began to bump into things; walls, doors – he wasn’t entirely sure. That wasn’t important. What was important was the escaping.
Which wasn’t going so well.
He felt the distance between himself and the Monster shorten, heard the growling and the panting grow nearer and nearer. The fox grew even more panicked as that happened – so panicked that when he found himself smashing into something he let out a rather loud scream.
This only seemed to excite Ripper. Tails heard, rather than saw the lunge, and pushed himself out of the way. Ripper slammed into something (a wall, Tails realized), the same something Miles’s face had been intimately acquainted with mere seconds ago.
A dead end, the fox realized. His heart was beating so fast he was sure it would explode – he barely heard the Monster yowl as he attempted to block out the thudding in his chest and move.
But his legs would no longer obey him – he found himself collapsing on the floor, gasping for air while his entire lower body throbbed with every heartbeat. Ripper whirled around, entire face so bloody and damaged the only thing recognizable was the eyes… and lunged.
Tails did the only thing he could do; cradled the still body in his arms and closed his eyes.
There was a strange sound, like something ripping. Perhaps it was his chest…
… But he felt no pain at all. Droplets of something wet sprayed onto him, and he found himself opening his eyes. There was a flash of blue. Hope bubbled up inside him, he somehow managed to stand.
”SONIC!”
He saw Ripper topple over and grow still. He saw another flash of blue, and with wild excitement, threw his head around to try and look where his saviour had gone.
”Soni–“
The word and the hope died together, impossibly quick. There was indeed something blue in front of him, but it was definitely not Sonic.
”Surrender and I may yet spare you,” came the cold voice of Metal Sonic.
The deadly silver claws enclosed his arms. Tails did not protest, did not struggle. Defeat written all over his face, he fell to his knees.

01:52 pm Knuckles seemed to freeze in place.
He was looking at the pair with a stony face, expression betraying nothing but hatred. His body language told a different story entirely; there was something about the stiffness in his posture that was dangerous.
Mighty, however, was struggling admirably for someone in his state. He writhed, even tried to grasp the robot. But Metal held him firmly, hand around his throat tight, eyes locked with the Guardian.
The brief silence felt like an eternity. The pathetic remains of the army had stopped moving, as had the echidna.
”I will kill him,” Metal assured the echidna, digging his claws into the armadillo’s neck slightly.
Knuckles’s mouth curled into a snarl; his hands were clenched into fists, resting tensely against his sides.
Julie-su held up her arms.
”We surrender.”
Anashi shot a sharp glare at her.
“Speak for yourself.”
She sent him a scandalized look.
”You’re just going to let him die?!” she demanded, “Isn’t he your friend?”
”Don’t interfere in matters that don’t concern you, woman,” he growled, shifting his cold, furious eyes on her. Julie-su would not be cowed so easily.
”He’ll die! Don’t you care about him at all?!”
”What did I just tell you?” his voice became lower, more menacing. Metal was watching them thoughtfully. He squeezed Michael’s chest, causing him to gasp in pain. They stopped only for a moment to regard the armadillo.
”Surrender!” Julie hissed.
”Don’t tell me what to do!”
Metal’s claws dug into the armadillos side, cutting it open. Blood dripped onto the snow below them.
”He’s your friend! What’s wrong with you?!”
Knuckles was alternating between glaring at her and glaring at Metal.
”You’re heartless!” she continued, furious now, “How can you call yourself a Guardian when you let your friends–“
With amazing speed, Knuckles grabbed her by the shoulders, pulling her close. She choked on her last word, instead emitting a startled sound. He looked ready to kill her – she was nearly nose-to-nose with him and she could not find her voice. His grip was uncomfortably tight – even painful, but it was his eyes that she had noticed. He had not been very expressive with emotions before, but his rage was clear now – and there was something else in his gaze, something that frightened her. For a moment, she was certain that she was going to die – one moment – but then Metal spoke and the illusion shattered.
”I grow weary of waiting,” the metallix unit said flatly, “You have to the count of three to surrender. Three…”
Julie-su was silent, her gaze was pleading, and even frightened. She was vaguely aware of him releasing her, acutely aware of the armadillo’s pain and mortality when Metal gave his throat a squeeze.
”Two…”
There was a moment in which Metal thought he would not give in – that he would attack, leave his friend to die. The Guardian’s posture changed; there was a tiny movement; something seemed to come loose. And then, with a glare cold enough to rival the temperature, the echidna held up his hands.
”I surrender.”
I just finished part 2/3 of Chapter 3 of AC, so I thought I'd provide a teaser. I have another teaser, Tails-centric, for anyone interested. (Let me know if you are) Also, yes, that is Julie-su (I don't like her), no, this is not Archie, and yes, Julie-su is only a minor character. I never intended for her to be in KatC in the first place, but she kind of wormed her way in. She has a purpose, though. Chapter 3 is currently 13,000 words. :O
Enjoy. And feedback pretty please.

08:38 pm I updated An Author's Nightmare 4.
Yes, it's true. This is not a test. I already checked hell. It's frozen.
Yes, it's an actual chapter. Yes, I'm as shocked as you are.
Chapter 9; Intermission A teenage girl finds herself trapped in a world she knows everything and yet really nothing about: Sonic X. Can she make it out? Better yet, can she make it out alive? The most realistic self-insertion you'll find. (Complete with the sert having her period. :D Don't worry boys, not in detail)
Corny desc:
People seem to be under the impression that if a human being, such as ourselves, were to enter the world of 'Sonic the Hedgehog', that everything would be daisies and sunshine- banding together to fight Eggman/Robotnik with Sonic, saving the day, becoming a hero, and getting the girl (or guy).
They are wrong.
Dead wrong.
Alone, trapped in another world… no friends or foes defined, little means of survival…
A nightmare.
That’s the truth.
You can say otherwise- but I know.
I’ve been there.
Enter, if you dare, the world of self-insertion…
Of true self-insertion.
Enter the world… of me.
Reviews {Can I have it?}

10:36 pm I meant to post this roughly 340893749347347394 years ago...
Teaser for Anti-Climax, Chapter 3. I'm past the 1/3rd way point but lately work on it has been minimal. In fact, all of my writing has grinded to a halt, due to business, sickness, computer problems, and writer's block.
But, here's the teaser I posted in my main journal. I don't really like it, but it would be nice to get more than 2 comments on it :D *shot*
”Cat” as he had been dubbed after his initial discovery of the entry, curled up on the fox’s shoulders. He sent Eliza a smug look, which she didn’t see, as she was busy examining the map.
“You’re a good boy, Cat.” Tails said fondly, keeping his eyes on the smaller child. She kept her attention on the map, ignoring him and his badnik pet.
”You found the entrance when Miss Know-It-All couldn’t,” he went on, louder. The girl snorted and started walking. He followed, smirking.
They descended into silence as they walked. The base was empty, and eerily quiet. He felt his good mood slipping away the further in they went.
”It looks abandoned,” he commented.
”Scared?” he felt, rather than saw her grin.
”Of course not!” he retorted quickly, walking faster to match her pace, “It’s just weird, that’s all!”
”The entrance is back the other way if you want to go home.”
”I’m not scared!” he repeated loudly. She turned to face him, and the amusement was gone from her face.
”Keep your voice down!” she hissed quietly, “We might–“
The floor suddenly gave out beneath them.
It happened so quickly. Before they even had a chance to react, they were falling. He gasped aloud, and she did too– but before either of them could even consider screaming, they had hit the ground.
It was very dark. Tails took a few moments to let his eyes adjust, but Eliza had no such notion. He heard her stand and begin stumbling around.
Even after his eyes adjusted, it was difficult to see. He let his hands rove about, eventually coming to settle on a wall. He stood.
”Lee?” he whispered.
”I’m here,” she responded after a moment. There was a clanking noise, and the fox’s heart skipped a beat.
”Lee?” panic began to rise in his voice, “Was that you?”
No answer.
The lights came on suddenly, and Miles jumped.
There were empty tubes everywhere, and the light – lime green in colour – focused only on them.
Tails, however, was more interested in his friend. The catterkiller on his shoulders, silent and all but forgotten, didn’t move. Tails saw the young Guardian some feet away, standing completely still.
”Eliza!” he squeaked, “Someone turned on the lights! We’re not alone, We–“
She didn’t even seen to hear him. He ran up to her, and shook her soundly by the shoulders.
She then looked up at him, looking lost and frightened. Her eyes were widened dramatically, reminded him of a deer caught in headlights… He had never seen her like that.
”Miles…” he was going to remind her that he didn’t like to be called that, but the panic in her voice stopped him short.
”Miles… look…” she gestured around her with a shaky arm.
”Look at this horrible place…” Her voice was tiny and weak, and now there was a knot forming in his stomach.
Slowly, he complied, and it was then that he noticed that the tubes were not empty at all.
They all had people in them.

03:25 pm So. I just rewrote Anti-Climax. =_= I WILL NOT TOUCH IT AGAIN. It gives me too much of a headache. Having that done, I can fully concentrate on the next chapter, which is about.. 30% done as it stands.
But, reading and reviewing is appreciated, much appreciated. Chapter 1 had the biggest makeover, particularly the first half of it.
So, update here.
Anti-Climax Knuckles the Echidna is the Guardian of the Floating Island, which is held up in the air by the power of the Master Emerald, an ancient, powerful jewel. Behind him, every step of the way, is his team, the Chaotix. And together, they have to ward off any evil that tries to claim it.
Chapters:
Prologue The end of the Knuckles Chaotix adapt I will never write. After a long and strenuous battle against the Chaotix, Metal Sonic brings out his last resort...
Chapter 1; Along the Line Based very very very loosely on the early Knuckles Archie comics (Rites of Passage and #1-3)
A halfdead Mighty the Armadillo finds himself trapped in a small village, where outsiders are enemies, and his only allies are an old, outdated robot, and a little girl who reminds him too much of Knuckles for his comfort. While all this is happening, the rest of the Chaotix find themselves being overwhelmed by a new enemy- the Dark Legion.
Chapter 2; The Descent With Knuckles kidnapped, Sonic has no choice but to seek out Metal Sonic on the Floating Island, and attempt to protect the Master Emerald from him. This would be easier if the Chaotix was organized and not half convinced he's the attacker.
Enjoy. With this done, in terms of fanfiction, I will resume AN (I paused it while rewriting), and continue with Chapter 3. Hopefully things will speed up =_=

04:29 pm - Teaser from Anti-Climax There was a minute of silence where she just stared, and then, quietly, timidly:
”…Nashi…?”
He nodded. She stared, shocked, and numbness flooded over her. He looked like Nashi, he sounded like Nashi… he had the same eyes… no. Nashi’s eyes were kind and loving. These eyes were cold. Cold and uncaring. He was vicious, he was heartless… it wasn’t Nashi. It wasn’t. It couldn’t be. This was a killer. This was a monster.
She backed away.
”Nashi?” she repeated, fear creeping into her voice.
A monster. A monster. How dare he, how dare he pretend to be Nashi! Nashi would never do horrible things! Nashi was nothing like that! How dare he! How dare he! Her eyes hardened, she glared at him, and shrieked:
”YOU’RE NOT MY BROTHER!”
It was hard to tell how he reacted. He seemed to flinch, and then turned his head. Perhaps if she was paying enough attention she would see the pain and shame in his eyes – but she was not, and a few seconds later, he turned his head back.
”Not what you expected, I know…” he said softly, expression unreadable.
”I refuse to believe it!” she balled her fists, “Nashi would never do such horrible things! Nashi would never have such cold, hard eyes! It’s a lie, a lie, a lie, and I refuse to believe it!”
A tiny part of her protested, insisting that her comments were uncalled for and that she had hurt him – but she did not care, she was much too passionate and much too angry. This wasn’t her brother. This couldn’t possibly be her brother. Nashi was kind and loving. Nashi was devoted. Nashi had warm eyes. This was not Nashi. It couldn’t be. Nashi was not heartless. Nashi was not a monster. He was speaking, and she snapped back to attention.
”Not what you expected, I know,” he said softly, expression unreadable.
I'M ALMOST DONE REWRITING THIS CHAPTER THAT I HATE :D
Btw. Anashi = Knuckles. And he's -really- not that bad :P Children can be so cruel.
Dragon writing fanfiction ftw :D
